The concept for Chief Studio was born in late 2017, when our founder Zoe was living and working in New York.

The name was the first thing that was decided on, and set the tone for what was to come. Inspired by the strength of her Grandmother, a leader of her community in the small nation of the Cook Islands, Zoe set out to craft a label that placed equal value on sustainability and self-expression.

Chief Studio launched a year later in Sydney, exactly how it had been originally imagined: vibrant, luxurious and above all sustainably made.
